Designers have been sending 'preppliy' dressed models down the runway and have sparked the renewal of preppy style. What is preppy style? Well, as Jenna Lyons (President & Creative Director of J.Crew) puts it, Preppy  is  " A way of styling. Classic things mixed a certain way " (Chatelaine Magazine).  Well, we don’t argue with the fashion mogul, she has turned J. Crew into a multi-million dollar company, she knows what she's doing.  She also knows how to dress! She channels different styles to ultimately give her that classic/modern/chic look. 
 
That look isn't that hard to achieve either, just like she said, its about mixing classic things a certain way. If you are going for a preppy chic look, some closet staples are oxford shirts,  classic trench coats (think Burberry), fitted dark denim jeans, riding boots, polo shirts, a little white dress, pearls, cardigans,  and large tote bags (to name a few).
